Position Closure Requirements Before Extended Market Closures

To ensure compliance with FunderPro’s risk management and trading rules, traders must follow the position closure requirements outlined below unless trading on a Swing Account.

Updated this week

⏰ When Positions Must Be Closed

All open positions must be closed no later than two (2) hours before a market closure that lasts two (2) hours or more.

This includes:

  • Weekend market closures

  • Extended market shutdowns

  • Official holidays

  • Unexpected trading halts exceeding two hours

This rule does NOT apply to normal daily market pauses, rollovers, or short overnight breaks.

📌 Forex Market Example

For Forex trading:

  • The market closes for more than two hours over the weekend

  • Therefore, all active Forex positions must be closed by 10:00 PM (MT5 server time) every Friday

  • Any Forex positions left open beyond this time will be considered a violation

  • Swing Accounts are exempt from this requirement

🔄 Swing Account Exception

Traders buying a Swing Add-On are permitted to:

  • Hold positions during weekends

  • Keep trades open over extended market closures
as long as all other trading and risk rules are respected.

🚫 Trading Halts & Extended Closures

If a trading halt or market closure lasts longer than two (2) hours, it will be treated as an official extended closure period.

  • Traders must not hold open positions during this time, unless using a Swing Account

  • Normal nightly pauses or rollovers do not fall under this rule

⚠️ Non-Compliance Consequences

Failure to comply may result in:

  • Forced closure of positions by FunderPro

  • Inability to open or close positions

✅ Trader Responsibilities

  • Verify whether your account is Standard or Swing

  • Ensure positions are closed before weekend or extended market closures

  • Monitor holiday schedules and unexpected trading halts

  • When unsure, close positions early or contact FunderPro Support
